Why someone would pick Verenu instead

Maybe you want to inspect or self-host the code. Maybe you'd rather bring an existing API key (Groq's transcription tier is free) or run a local model than pay a monthly subscription. Or you want your audio and transcript going straight to the provider you picked, not through a vendor's backend.

Wispr Flow is worth considering if you want mobile support (iOS/Android), the built-in meeting notetaker, or a fully managed experience with no setup. Verenu is Windows and macOS only. With Verenu you bring your own API key and pick your own provider, or run a local model instead.
