AI dictation for Windows, without another subscription.
Verenu runs on Windows 10 and 11 (x64), built with Tauri instead of Electron. There's no bundled Chromium, and the UI is rendered with the WebView2 runtime that already ships with Windows.
Installing on Windows
Download the installer
Grab the Windows build from the download page. It runs on x64, Windows 10 or later.
Add a provider key
Open Settings and paste in an API key from Groq, OpenAI, Google, or AssemblyAI for transcription.
Hold Ctrl+Win and speak
Release the hotkey and the cleaned-up transcript is typed into whatever app had focus.

Hold Ctrl Win to record, release to send. It's a hold-to-record hotkey, not a toggle, so there's no separate window to switch to.
Your provider API key is stored in Windows Credential Manager, not in a plaintext config file.
No bundled Chromium runtime. Idle RAM use runs roughly 200 MB, since there's no separate browser engine to keep resident for a background dictation tool.

Bring your own API key from Groq, OpenAI, Google, or AssemblyAI, or run a local transcription and cleanup model on Windows instead.
